Implementing Change: Finding the Sweet Spot

How does one effectively implement change? Well, if you asked the top leaders of the world that question, you’d probably get a multitude of answers. The truth of the matter is that implementing effective change isn’t easy, and it is not something people always readily or easily embrace. People like their comfort zones. Doing things differently doesn’t always sit in the “sweet spot” for most people. 

Creating a culture that embraces change doesn’t happen overnight. It requires a change in mindset. Here are some ideas to consider as you develop your change management strategy:
  • Be open to possibilities and opportunities to learn.  
  • Be ready to do something awesome, not just achieve a goal. 
  • Be confident in yourself and your team. You have the skills and the talent.
  • Be motivated. Keep the focus on the outcome, even if you encounter obstacles along the way.  
  • Be patient. Change that is successful, and sustainable, takes time.
