Orion Then and Now - Podcast Miniseries

In celebration of our strategic move from Orion International to Orion Talent, we are taking a look back on our business over the past 26+ years. In this 3-part podcast miniseries, Maygan Ralston of Orion Talent talks to 3 influential people who have helped shape the company.

You will hear from these three influential guests; Bill Laughlin, one of Orion International’s Founders and current Board member; Orion Talent’s CEO, Mike Starich, and Cory Kruse, President of Orion Novotus (formerly Novotus).

First up, Bill Laughlin, one of Orion’s Founders, offers perspective on the military recruiting climate in 1991 and why he left a competing firm to start Orion International. Bill’s entrepreneurial spirit and passion for finding civilian careers for veterans is evident. Mike Starich, CEO of Orion Talent, was one of Orion’s first hires, as a Junior Military Officer Recruiter in 1992. His eagerness and outstanding track record as a Recruiter led to several promotions: Regional Manager, COO, President and now CEO. Mike talks about the early days of Orion International (before computers and the internet) and what he’s most looking forward to in the future of Orion Talent. Lastly, Cory Kruse, President of Orion Novotus, who has an impressive background in the recruiting industry and 15 years of knowledge and expertise on all things Talent Acquisition and RPO.
