Mike Starich, CEO of Orion Talent and a former
USMC Officer, wrote an article
earlier this month for Supply Chain
Management Review highlighting how distribution centers should deal with
their newly exploding labor needs. He explains that with the disruptive nature
of companies like Amazon, it’s time to deal with a “perfect storm of labor disruption”.

Mike points out that as distribution centers
leverage machine learning, flying warehouses, self-driving delivery vehicles,
and even drone delivery, supply chain organizations need to build a strong team
that can handle an ever-changing distribution landscape.
